A New Creation

As it is said in the bible:

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

~ Matthew 6:33

......The most important thing to do is to seek the kingdom of God, because only God can give us everything the world couldn't give. If we seek, obey and follow him in all his righteousness; all the things our heart desires will be given to us (peace, love, joy and etc). Trust in the Lord and not worry of anything but believe and accept God as our savior, and king.

The bible says;

"For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the people on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. The Lord did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other people, for you were the fewest of all people. But it was because the Lord loved you."

~ Deuteronomy 7:6-8

.......It is said that God has chosen us not because we love him, but because he loves us. It was never because of our strength, that God has chosen us but because we are his treasured possession (children of God). As Ptr. Joey said "God does not call the qualified, but He qualifies the called", it was never about what we have done for God but because of God's love that we qualify to be called.

The bible says;

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

~ 2 Corinthians 5:17

♥Gift of the Holy Spirit ♥

The bible says;

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the father, we too may live a new life."

~ Romans 6:4

Creation

My small group and I, are in our journey in reading the book of Genesis for this month facilitated by Eka Soriano. Every chapter brings out the wonder of God's creation. Acknowledging how God made everything as precise as they should be. My most favorite part of creation was, when God created man and woman.

The bible says:

"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them".

~ Genesis 1:27

......God created us in his very own likeness, among everything else he had created. Its amazing, how God designed every detail of our body to serve its purpose. There is no single word, would best describe God... But I'm very grateful of everything he had made.

The bible says:

"The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground - trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil".

~ Genesis 2:9

......God all loving and trustworthy still didn't deprive us of our own "free will" he has given us a chance to know good and evil. Despite all his power, he gave us the opportunity to learn from all our mistakes and make our own decision. You see, he has all the power in the world to control us to just obey him, in one single word. But because God love us so much, didn't force us to obey. But instead, he has given us "free will" to desire, to accept, and to follow him.

Equip by God

I attended an amazing workshop yesterday although it was for only 3 hours, it was enough. To hear God's words coming from God's chosen people, every second is worth it.

"Don't put limit to what you can do for the kingdom of God. Because there is no limit to what God can do in your life."
~ JB Dela Cruz (How to win the Crowd, EN)

.........These words stuck in my heart for I used to set limitations on what I can do for God, thinking that I am not worthy enough and afraid that I will fail, I will humiliate myself, etc... I had so many reasons, and realized that there shouldn't be any limitation to what I can do for Christ but trust that whatever God wants me to do he will use it for his glory.

The bible says:

"For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose"
~ Philippians 2:13

..........Just what Ptr. Mark said, "When God called you, you can't make excuses." And he is right, we can't make excuses because God will equip us of what we need to be able to fully serve and use our lives for Gods' glory.

The bible says:

"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
~ Romans 8:31

In God's Perfect Time

"To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heavens,
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pull up what is planted;A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;A time to dance; a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away;A time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;A time to love, and time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 - 8

....... God's time is perfect, never too early and never too late. God's will is always the best may not be something we want now, but he will definitely give us what we need in his perfect time. Never loose hope, for God works best when the time is right.

Unseen

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

~ 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

........It is not what we can see now that defines our future but what is inside our heart that all matters at the end of our journey, we are judge based on our faith not on what we have accomplished. Even without any knowledge of Godly works but served man and accepted God as his savior will be saved by God's grace.

"Forgiven"

.....I have forgiven you for the hurt you have caused me.
.....I have forgiven you for all the awful words you have said behind my back.
.....I have forgiven you for what you have done.

The bible says:

"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And ever all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom and through psalms, hymns, and songs from the spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

~ Colossians 3: 12 - 17

.....I have forgiven you, because I know God had forgiven me. If God can forgive me for all the wrong things I have done. Who am I not to forgive you. Remember that is it with a pure love that we can finally see God's truth. And its because of his amazing love, he has forgiven our sins.

I leave you with this song of how Amazing God's love for us:

The Games of life

At some point in our lives we have been addicted to a certain game like Texas Hold'em, the very famous Angry birds, guys favorite - Mafia Wars, Farmville, Cityville, or my favorite - Sims. I would agree that games in our lives are some what necessary like what some scientist said, it stimulates the logical thinking of our brains and it also relieves stress in our daily lives.

I like to classify them as the "go" games and the "stop" games;

The "GO" games would be games that gives positive outcomes; enhance one's memory, manifest drive of responsibility - like when you play virtual pets, shows sense of discipline - of avoiding doing the same mistakes to earn more scores, and lastly games that helps you develop relationship with family and friends - nothing is more exciting when you play games with people you care about.

The bible says:

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."

~ Philippians 4:8

The "STOP" games are the type of game which leads interest to violence; it stimulates desire to be violent towards others unknowingly, it discourage teamwork - as it long to be the strongest link, it encourage alienating oneself from others - because everyone is a threat. And lastly, it builds hatred to others and appreciate the game as his only companion - it doesn't establish any relationship at all.

The bible says:

"The lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence."
~ Psalm 11:5

..... You see the games you choose to play reflects a lot on how you plan to live your life. There are more larger games that we unconsciously tends to play, and it is the test of life. Temptation has always been around since Satan was born. But what defines you, is how you deal with it.

The bible says:

"How blessed is the man who endures temptation! When he has passed the test, he will receive the victor's crown of life that God has promised to those who keep on loving him.

~ James 1:12

......To live the walk with Christ, you will be more tempted as satan will not stop to steal you away from God. The more you are faithful to Christ, the more you will be a desirable subject to him. Never fret, because God is with us - "Emmanuel" and will never forsake us. The best weapon is God himself.

The bible says:

"He gives power to the weak
And strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
And young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint."

~ Isaiah 40:29-31

..... Continue to read the scriptures for in any temptation it will remind you that "Our God" is greater than any trials and games of life....

Now Serving.... ^_^

I used to be an English Kindergarten teacher years ago in faraway land where I don't understand the language, everything was settled by my Mom and my Aunt that I will stay there to work because my aunt lived there at the time. At first, I never understood why I needed to go. Why me? and why should I?...... I worked there for 3 years and somehow, I survived but I never felt the joy. I didn't go to church for quite sometime and always at the bar with my friends. I felt the weight of the world and I hated my job, I love the kids but my job was too strenuous for me. I resigned and went back home. I told to myself even if they would pay me twice my salary, I will never be a kindergarten teacher again for the rest of my life.

Its funny after years had passed, now God called me to obey... to follow him.... and he revealed in his words what he wanted me to do for him.... To teach... To teach the Kids who attend the church services every Sunday. Not only to "TEACH" but to teach for "FREE".

You know what my answer is?  I said "YES".... "yes, Lord I will obey".....

For the bible says:

"Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age"

~ Matthew 28:20

.....God send me to teach kindergarten long before.... because he wanted me to experience how to care for the children... For he had planned that I will serve him.... When he knows I am ready......

"On Friendship"

"When you want to be friend with someone you start by being a friend yourself, although choosing a friend is important in the growth of our faith with Christ, because they serve as our backbone when our faith is at its weakness. But, to also not limit ourselves to our own standard of friendship as we are all the same in the eyes of God. Friendship, is not about competing with one another, not about being arrogant, bitter and malicious of each other. Its about showing care, compassion and love for others. When your brethren hurt you show them love, as Christ love us. When they have wrong you, forgive seven times as many. And when they hate you, show them peace and love like God did ont he cross. But when you tried your best to reach out for them and still the same, PRAY and lift it up to God."

The bible says:

"You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall surely rebuke your neighbor, and not bear sin because of him."

~ Leviticus 19:17

All for Love

When I accepted God as my savior, and surrendered everything that was left of me...
My life changed. I started to rely on Him for strength, I got weak by the flesh but I became stronger by faith as God revealed the truth to me, through his words.

Just like what the lyrics of the this amazing song meant:

And ever since that moment, I've never been the same.

I finally realized what I lack in my life, contentment, joy, and peace.

but above all..... "God"

The bible says:

"Because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome"
~ Genesis 32:28B

.....Once you have struggled then you will overcome....

.....You will overcome what blinded you to come to Christ..... (Sin - hatred, bitterness)
.....You will understand the truth of your life's purpose..... (Love to self, others, and God)
.....And you will know what you need in your life........ (Relationship with God)

"When you have a real encounter with God you will never be the same again"
~ Ptr. Jeff (VCF)

......Once you have the right relationship with God, everything that you didn't understand about religion will all make sense.... It is no longer a "religion", it is a "relationship"....

Christianity is more than just a religion. It is first and foremost a relationship with God. The foundation of any healthy relationship is communication. The better the communication, the better the relationship will be. God talks to us in many ways but primarily through His word, the Bible. We talk to Him through prayer. We learn to listen to the sound of God's voice in our lives when we read His word. He listens to us when we pray. We respond to His word with action. He responds to our prayers with action.

~ Steve Murrell, (One 2 One Ch. 5. p.27)

.....It is by reading the One 2 One book with Eka, a friend of mine when God has finally revealed the truth, I can only connect the dots looking back on how he planned my life from the very start. He had molded my character from all the painful experience, the unbearable memories and the path I have once chosen long before. It was only now, I understood the purpose of my past. How it was relevant in my life and made me aware of everything still to come.

.....And its all because of "His love".
